Betriece Grimes is the Principal and Regional Vice President of Oilfield Specialty Partners LLC, OSP Energy Canada Ltd, and Essex Consulting Group, a specialized engineering firm and sister company to Oilfield Specialty Partners. She has held this position since October 2020. With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Betriece has built a diverse career, spending half of her professional journey focused on the Texas market and the other half working across various regions of the United States, Canada & internationally.
Raised in the oil and gas business, Mrs. Grimes is the daughter of CD “Red” Davis, a renowned wildcatter from Abilene, Texas, who owned a drilling company, oilfield supply store and pioneered the West Texas Oil Patch in the 70’s & 80’s. Growing up in this environment, Betriece was immersed in the industry since birth, gaining a firsthand understanding of its complexities and challenges. This foundation has been a key driver behind her successful career and continued leadership in the sector.
In her executive leadership role at Oilfield Specialty Partners, OSP Energy Canada and Essex Consulting Group, Mrs. Grimes plays an integral part in guiding the strategic direction of all 3 companies with the team, & overseeing a wide range of operations in addition to engineering solutions. Her involvement in these organizations allows her to leverage her expertise in both the technical and operational aspects of the oil and gas sector, from upstream to midstream and engineering services.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Grimes has been committed to advancing the oil and gas industry. She is an active member of several prominent petroleum councils and regularly volunteers her time and expertise to support both her local community and the broader oilfield industry.
Before founding Oilfield Specialty Partners, & OSP Energy Canada Ltd., Mrs. Grimes was a partner in her family’s oil and gas consulting firm, which was successfully sold in 2012. Following the sale, she took on the role of Operations Manager, where she was instrumental in guiding the company through a critical transition, ensuring its continued growth, sustainability, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations until September 2020.
Mrs. Grimes is passionate about the future of the oil and gas industry, particularly in advancing clean energy solutions, and is committed to supporting her clients as they transition toward more sustainable practices.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Grimes cherishes spending time with her family and precious grandson, affectionately known as “Hunny B,” and has a love for travel, always eager to explore new destinations and experiences.
